Day 01 KL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT / MELAKA

Arrive at KLIA. After immigrations & customs formalities, you will be met & greeted by our tour guide & transfer to Melaka. The drive would take about 2 hours. 

Melaka is a fabled historic city that once stood at the crossroads of the shipping trade between the east and west. Rich in its own unique culture, the city's history is a colorful tapestry woven through six centuries of diversed people and cultures.

Day 02 MELAKA

Visit to the historical state of Melaka, where the story of Malaysia begun. This walk-about historical tour transforms you back in time through:

• The Dutch Square - Famous for its red-painted buildings, the Dutch Square is clear testimony of Dutch masonry and architectural skills
• A' Famosa Fortress - Built by the Portuguese in 1511 as a fortress
• Melaka Sultanate Museum – Replica of Malay Sultanate Palace
• Jonker Street - The heart of historical Melaka
• The Cheng Hoong Teng Temple &  Kampong Kling Mosque - represents the different early cultures and religion in Melaka

Day 03 MELAKA / TAMAN NEGARA

We start early in the morning, the drive from north south highway would by-pass Kuala Lumpur city to join the east coast highway (approximately 4 hours drive). Arrive at Kuala Tembeling jetty and board the river bus (long boat) for a 2 hours upstream boat ride and be enthralled by the sights of the world’s oldest rainforest to Nusa Holiday Village.

Standing more than 130 millions years old, Taman Negara was declared for conservation in 1938 and has become Malaysia's premier national park and the largest in the country covering over 4343 square kilometres (434,300 hectares) of primary forest, spans across three states Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang - and is situated in the centre of the Peninsula Malaysia. Taman Negara is the most extensive protected area of pristine, lowland, evergreen rainforest in the country.

Nusa Holiday Village is the place where you see, feel and smell the oldest tropical rainforest in the world. Your accommodation here is in a traditional Malay house styled chalet equipped with air-conditioning, attached bathroom with hot shower.

After dinner, a jungle guide will lead you to a one hour Night Jungle Walk - (please bring own torchlight) - experience the tropical forest nightlife, nocturnal species of insects, flora and fauna.

Day 04 TAMAN NEGARA 

After breakfast, trekking to Bukit Warisan (Warisan Hill), 1-hour walk through steep hill and an ideal place for birds watching. Back to resort for 2 hours break. Proceed by boat to Canopy Jetty; experience the Canopy Walkway (world's longest hanging bridge). The activity continues with rapids shooting.

Day 05 TAMAN NEGARA / KUALA LUMPUR

Take a 15 minutes boat ride from Nusa Holiday Village to Kuala Tahan for the drive to Kuala Lumpur. En route stop by at Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Center, passing by an orang asli settlement, is managed by the Malaysia Wildlife Department, this sanctuary serves as a conservation center for wild elephants translocated from their natural habitat as some plantations encroached into jungles.

Get first-hand information and facts of these gentle giants and participate in their daily activities.

Take a ride or get wet with them as these elephants bathe in the nearby river.

Continue the journey to Kuala Lumpur or KL, the capital city of Malaysia.

Day 06 KUALA LUMPUR

Kuala Lumpur named after the confluence of the Klang & Gombak rivers; it started as a tin-mining settlement in the late 1800s. KL was conferred city status on February 1st, 1972 and declared a Federal Territory in 1974. Today, KL is the pulse of Malaysia, a bustling modern city with a blend of old and new.

After breakfast, proceed with Kuala Lumpur City tour that will take you to places such as:

• National Mosque
• Old Railway Station
• Central Market
• KL birth spot [confluence of 2 rivers]
• Independence Square

Day 07 KUALA LUMPUR / CAMERON HIGHLANDS

Depart for Cameron Highlands. Situated at 1600m above sea level, Cameron Highlands was discovered by British surveyor, William Cameron in 1885 and described as “a fine plateau with gentle slopes, shut in by lofty mountains”.

The largest hill resort among the several hill stations in the country, the cool and refreshing air over its undulating valleys and majestic mountains surround the area of complete beauty of vast green scenery, sprawling tea plantations, flower gardens, vegetable farms and fruit orchards are common sight.

Begin the uphill journey from the base town of Tapah.  Stop by at Iskandar Waterfalls. Visit the ‘orang asli’, the aborigines people’s house and learn to use the blowpipe.

Continue the journey to the peak. 

Day 08 CAMERON HIGHLANDS

Begin the tour by visiting The Insect Farm. Continue the tour in a Land Rover ascending to Gunung Brinchang the highest peak of Cameron Highlands, followed by light jungle trekking to the mossy forest to get insights of the unique flora & fauna in this highlands forest. After that, visit the tea plantation and see how tea is processed. Enjoy beautiful sceneries of terraced flower gardens, strawberry farms, orchards and vegetable gardens.

Day 09 CAMERON HIGHLANDS / PENANG

Descend via the newly completed Cameron – Ipoh Highway. Stop by at Kuala Kangsar, the Royal Town of Perak to visit the Ubudiah Mosque and the Royal Palace.

Stop by at Bukit Merah Laketown Resort to visit the Orang Utan Island; tucked away on the 35-acre Pulau Orang Utan, is the world's first and only rehabilitation and preservation facility out of Borneo where Orang Utans roam free. The unique island serves as a breeding sanctuary as well as conservation, research and education center to better understand this endangered species. You will be taken through a 100-meter steel walkthrough 'cage tunnel' to come up close and personal with these primates. In a twist, you will be enclosed in a 'cage' as you observe the Orang Utans roaming free in their natural habitats. Several baby Orang Utans are the stars of the island.

Continue the journey & cross the 13.2 km Penang Bridge, the longest bridge in South East Asia to the island of Penang.

Penang, often referred to as “Pearl of the Orient”, one of the most picturesque and romantic cities of the east. Located on the north-west coast of the peninsular Malaysia, named after the betel nut tree once commonly found on the island.

The first British trading post in the east in 1786, Penang now is a bustling metropolis reflecting a uniquely exotic blend of east and west.

Day 10 PENANG

After breakfast, proceed with Penang city tour. Places of interest include:

• Kek Lok Si Pagoda - The two star attractions of Kek Lok Si Temple are the Pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas and the giant bronze statue of Kuan Yin.
• The Reclining Buddha - The world’s third largest reclining Buddha which measures 33 metres in length, is draped in gold-leafed saffron and reclines on a large crematorium.
• Fort Cornwallis -  Situated at the spot where Captain Francis Light was supposed to have landed in 1786.
• Khoo Kongsi Clan House - Its seven-tiered pavilion, dragon pillars and hand-painted walls engraved with the Khoo emblem was thought to have even outshone the imperial palace itself.
• Botanical Garden

Day 11 PENANG/ KUALA KEDAH/LANGKAWI ISLAND

Depart to Kuala Kedah jetty point to board ferry to Langkawi. Arrival at Kuala Kedah jetty & board ferry to  Langkawi Island. The ferry ride would take 1 ½ hours. The Langkawi archipelago is a cluster of 99 islands, noted for its legends and beautiful views. It  has good beaches, abundant marine life and basically offers an idyllic retreat from the urban jungle. A duty free port, this island of scenic, tranquil landscapes is a favorite destination for local and international tourist.

Day 12 LANGKAWI

Langkawi Island tour. Places of interest include:

• Mahsuri Tomb
• Burnt Rice Field
• Black Sand Beach
• Gamat Factory
• Under Water World
• Gunung Mat Chinchang

Day 13 LANGKAWI 

Free at leisure.

Day 14 LANGKAWI / KUALA KEDAH / KOTA BHARU

Check-Out, transfer to Langkawi jetty for ferry to Kuala Kedah. Arrival at Kuala Kedah, continue the journey to Kota Bharu via the East West Highway.

Enjoy breathtaking sceneries crossing the Titiwangsa Mountain Range. Stop by for lunch at Banding Island, a man-made island in the middle of Temenggor Lake, a hydroelectric dam.

Arrive at Kota Bharu, capital of Kelantan, located on the north eastern corner of Peninsular Malaysia and shares a common border with Thailand in the north. The state is a veritable treasure trove of delights ; rustic fishing villages, palm-fringed beaches, lush rice fields and traditional pastime such as kite-flying and top spinning. The people here have managed to preserve their age-old customs and tradition, thus, Kelantan is aptly dubbed the "Cradle of Malay Culture".                                                 

Day 15 : KOTA BHARU / KUALA TERENGGANU

Tour to the colorful wet market where the traders are mostly women. Visit & witness the kite & top spinning making & demonstration. See Malay craftsmen at work drawing batik & making silvercraft jewelries. Proceed to Kuala Terengganu passing thru vast scenes of paddy fields, traditional villages & along the beautiful coastline of the east coast. Brief stop at Duyong Island to see local boat makers.

Day 16 : KUALA TERENGGANU / CHERATING

Depart to Cherating. Get information on the leatherback turtles at Rantau Abang turtle information center. Coffee break at Kedai Kopi Haipeng, Kemaman. Savor home-brewed local coffee with kaya-toast and half boiled eggs among the famous delights here.

Day 17 CHERATING

After breakfast, proceed with a brief tour. Visit to a few cottage industries; pandanus leaves weaving, palm sugar making & catch sight of trained monkeys picking young coconuts.

Day 18 KUANTAN BUS –STATION / KUANTAN AIRPORT / KL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT / KUALA LUMPUR (Breakfast)

Transfer to Kuantan bus station (if you want to continue your journey to Singapore by express bus) or Kuantan Airport or KL International Airport for your next destination or to your choice of Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
